Gestures

Current Project

My current series Gestures, taken from my vast body of work, uses the Deleuzian metaphysical theories of ‘folding space’ as the focus to finding physical folds in the architectural landscape. Through my ever changing relationship with the city, I look for architectural equivalents to Winnicott’s concept of object-attachment and transference, which are manifested in the intimate fragmented ‘part objects’ of the architectural structures I photograph. My attraction to architecture is buried in its ability to be a metaphor for both the cerebral and physical human form, which is the main drive behind my image-making.

If you are interested in my research for this series of work, please download and read my research paper; link can be found to the right of this text. If you find any of my research interesting or thought provoking, get in contact and lets talk about it.
